The Delivery Process
Thank you for choosing us for your log crate delivery. Below, we have outlined the entire delivery process to ensure that you know exactly what to expect when your order is on its way. From the moment you place your order, we take careful steps to ensure your logs arrive safely and on time. Please review the process and details to help us make your delivery as smooth as possible.
Once your order is placed, it is allocated against our stock and prepared for dispatch. A customer service agent will then contact you to arrange a delivery day that works for you. Since delivery is an all-day event with no specific time, we want to ensure that someone will be available to receive it.
We utilize a network of local haulage companies across the UK as part of the "Pallet Network." This enables us to deliver to virtually any location in the UK, as your delivery is handled by a local depot close to your address.
To ensure a smooth delivery, we will verify that your address is suitable for the lorry to access. This includes selecting the appropriate lorry size based on road width, access, and turning points. Our team will work with you during the delivery booking and may use street view to confirm the details.
Our delivery service is kerbside, meaning the driver will place the item at the kerbside of your property. While drivers often do their best to get as close as possible, they are limited by factors such as gravel, hills, and gates. It's important to note that the driver is not responsible for unstacking the logs.
The driver will use a taillift to lower the item and a pallet truck to move it to the kerbside of your property. Please ensure that the delivery spot is prepared, as the driver is not paid to place the item exactly where you want it beyond the kerbside. Also, remember that the driver cannot leave the item on the road due to highway regulations.
